WorkLearnMobile aims to cut through the hype and provide practical information about what it really takes to make mobile learning effective in the workplace. We are a network of experts, with different experiences in corporate learning and development and mobile learning with a focus on sharing our knowledge. Our goal is to encourage the use of mobile learning in enterprises and organizations to positively improve employee performance and productivity.

Originally founded by members of Qualcomm’s mobile learning team, WorkLearnMobile is now a community driven site, no longer affiliated with Qualcomm.

Geoff Stead has been designing and developing mobile learning since before the iPhone. From 2012-2015 he was head of mobile learning at Qualcomm in San Diego. Before that he led TribalLabs in Cambridge UK. In both places he and his team worked on the latest, cutting-edge mobile technologies to explore, innovate and champion how they should be used to enhance learning for all. Considered one of the founders of mobile learning, he has created new mobile tools and techniques with educators around the globe since 2001.

John Polaschek has over 15 years of experience as a leader in corporate learning. He has managed the implementation of collaborative learning platforms, several learning management systems and developed highly interactive training courses for Fortune 500 companies. While at Qualcomm he was a leader in mobile, and digital technologies striving to improve employee productivity and engagement. If you want to know who is doing what in the learning technology world – John is your man! John earned his BA in Communication Design from California State University, Chico, and is a member of The eLearning Guild and an Executive Committee Member for the Digital Workplace Council.

Ollie has a diverse software development background, spanning over fifteen years experience. He has a devoted interest in mobile applications and web technologies.

An Educator at heart, Videhi constantly strives for the fusion of design, technology and pedagogy in her solutions. She brings in a host of skills including UX, Research, Strategy, Marketing, Analytics, Learning Design and is an aspiring Learning Product Manager with a strong footing in Mobile Learning arena. She studied Master’s in Educational Technologies at the University of Oxford. She loves photography, sketching, books, coffee and often volunteers for social causes.

Jess has worked in the mobile world for more than a decade and likes to ‘cut through the hype’. She is an inspired, creative, mobile learning advocate ensuring all projects have the best chance at succeeding with the client and end users.

She has a host of skills including UX & UI, Learning design, Content strategy, Marketing, Research, Project management, Training & Client Liaison.

Give her a room, pack of colored sharpies and sticky notes and she will turn the most vague concept; through user research, stakeholder interviews, and design sessions into a concrete, well-thought out prototype and at every stage of the products life cycle, makes sure the whole team is involved in the vision.

Outside work, sheís being a yogi, drinking green tea, taking spontaneous adventures with family and friends & of course using more Post-It notes!
